Save the dog from bees. A man saves a dog, but…! There is a swarm of wasps in the garden: The husband keeps a dog, leaving a wife and small children behind. A man’s behaviour puzzles his wife. A woman told how her husband abandoned her in a moment of danger, accidentally stirring up a wasp nest that invaded the garden.

Instead of warning her, he quickly ran into the house to fetch his Dog, so she had to hide with the gardener and two recently born children. He did not even call the exterminator.

A woman vented on Reddit that her husband left her and their newborn twins to fend for themselves as a swarm of wasps rushed towards them. Instead of worrying about saving them, he decided to keep the Dog.

She narrated: “My husband Brent and I have been together for seven years, married for two. We get along well; he is a nice man, although things have been difficult since the twins; after this incident, I am questioning myself a lot”.

Admitting that the couple struggled to keep up with house and garden work while trying to look after two children and a dog, they wanted to hire a professional gardener to help them. “I hired a woman, Gina, who is about 20 years old, who had done some work for my neighbours and was well-reviewed.

We decided to make a day of it and had lunch out there. The twins were in their playpen on a blanket, Gina and I were weeding, and Brent was doing some cutting the lawn.”

The husband abounded her and the children to save the Dog.

The swarm of wasps in the garden: saves a dog, leaving a wife and small children behind.

But while Brent was working on the other side of the garden, he accidentally disturbed a wasp nest, sending them swarming out in all directions. “Without telling us anything, he immediately ran past our children, grabbed his Dog (a small terrier) and ran into the house, closing the door. Thank God Gina had more reflexes because while I was still trying to figure out what he was running away from, he noticed the wasps swarming around and warned us to enter the shed.

We took the children, sat, and hid for quite a while; we were also without mobile phones, and our garden was full of wasps. I could see Brent looking out the window and trying to mime a call for help, but he didn’t notice.”

After spending more than an hour camped out in the shed with two screaming children, an exterminator arrived and managed to rid the garden of wasps. And no, it was not the husband who had called him. In the meantime, he was relaxing at home with his Dog, eating a sandwich he had prepared during the ordeal.

I found out that a neighbour had seen what had happened and called the exterminator. I am furious. How could he run before our children and lock us out of the house? If I had been alone in the garden, I would not have been able to carry both children and open the shed door simultaneously. It’s a miracle that nobody got stung. He claims it was an emergency reaction, but it’s almost worse for me. His emergency reaction is to abandon his wife and children”.
