Dog born without front legs, second chance story. Man refuses to put down a little dog born without front legs and gives him a second chance. The little dog Nubby was born without front legs. The puppy was only 4 hours old when the vet suggested putting him down because it was probably the best thing to do for him.
However, his owner made a drastic decision. The nubby difficulty started life. He was born without front legs and had trouble reaching his mother to be nursed. Finally, his mother accepted him, but his little brothers pushed him away, and he could not eat.
Moreover, according to the vet, the best thing for him was to put him down regardless of how sad he was. But Lou Robinson, from Texas, has adopted and cared for many unwanted dogs with her husband Mark. They thought differently.
They immediately rejected the vet’s suggestion and took Nubby with them. Nubby followed Lou home. She and her husband looked after him 24 hours a day at home. They gave him lots of affection, security and food in his bottle.
Initially, Nubby seemed to be doing well.
He opened his eyes and developed ears. You could hear him barking, and he could sniff and recognise voices”. But then things changed. When Nubby was about one month old, he started sneezing. He couldn’t poop anymore and had bubbles coming out of his nose. After x-raying him, they discovered that he had something in his oesophagus.
They gave him antibiotics and put him in the incubator. The situation was difficult, but Nubby showed extraordinary willpower and a warrior spirit. He never gave up. He fought. And as long as he had the chance to live a good life, his foster parents fought to give him that chance.
Fortunately, his condition improved over time. Three years have passed since then, and this little dog has proved to be a true survivor. Life has presented him with difficulties, but he has shown the world that anything is possible. In addition, the Robinsons have created his personal Facebook page so that people can follow his adventures.
Judging by recent updates and photos, Nubby is better than ever. He has grown into a strong dog. Nubby likes to play and is curious about life and everything it offers. He also has his wheelchair, making it much easier to get around and play.
Nubby is a natural source of inspiration! Although he is not the same as everyone else, he is proof that being different does not matter. According to the vet, he had to be put down, but with the help of Lou and Mark, Nubby proved that anything is possible.
